Project SQ Engineer, Interiors and Continuous Improvement

• Spearheaded the First Article Inspection (FAI) for Railway Interior Scopes (Handrails, Glazing, Interior Panels, Passenger Seats, Driver Seats) – Achieved 92% (FY ’22-23), 95%, (FY ’23-24), 91% (FY ’24-25) vs Target 90% (Indian Customers: CMRL, DMRC, PITCMRL. Overseas Customers: Sao Paulo Line 6, Perth EMU, Iarnrod Irish Rail, Santiago Line 7).
• Deployed a quality action plan at critical interior suppliers for ML3 project to reduce incoming defects by 20%.
• Managed SQ (Supplier Quality) Project Co-ordination: Liaison and cross-functional co-ordination between suppliers in China and Germany; Engineering team in Bangalore and Production sites in Poland, Australia and Brazil.
• Led Greenfield interior supplier industrialization projects for special processes (Adhesive Bonding, Welding, Painting) amounting to yearly turnovers of INR 30 Cr to ensure on time ramp-up readiness for interior projects localization & Transfer of Technology (ToT) projects.
• Executed 100% Customer FAI’s on Time by aligning Project, Customer, Supplier and Alstom CFT through rigorous project milestone reviews and planning for DMRC & CMRL project. Cash milestone from customer secured as per contract against successful completion of these FAI’s without blockers.
• Deployed systems & governance mechanisms to drive Supplier NCR reduction by 25% YoY: Practices deployed in India benchmarked globally within Alstom with recognition from Alstom leadership.
• Led and executed a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Project: Reduced Supplier NCR Response Lead Time by 30 %. Realized Savings of INR 70 L.
• Led the yearly budgeting and forecast of Supplier Quality (SQ) department workload (with Compo teams: Interior, Bogie, Traction Development Centers) from FY ’22-23 to FY ’25-26. Projected resources were in-line with management requirements.
• Strategized the Three-Year lookahead for the SQ function with Alstom APAC Quality Management along with budget & headcount forecasting as a % of sales.
• Devised the roadmap towards Zero Supplier Defects with associated upstream actions in project gates and downstream actions in execution. This was presented to Alstom APAC and Global Rolling Stock & Components leadership teams.

Project SQ Engineer, E-Loco

• Rolled out a globally benchmarked supplier risk assessment and supplier performance assessment process and developed monthly dashboards to report progress and actions.
• As part of Supplier Risk & Performance Management for Top Suppliers: Improved the percentage of Low-Risk Suppliers from 40 % to 86 % (FY '18-19 to FY '21-22) through Cross Functional Actions.
• Led Program Co-ordination for E-Loco project Bogies & Traction Motor: 95% FAl's Delivered on Time (vs Target 90%).
• Orchestrated the weekly supplier quality project progress meeting to E-Loco project core team and drove actions with stakeholders.
• Prepared and presented the supplier quality work package in monthly E-Loco Sourcing work package reviews.
• Supported Alstom SQ leadership teams to establish governance structures and review mechanisms with Coimbatore, Madhepura, Kolkata sites and E-Loco Project core team.
• Monitored the part development project reviews in lieu of engineering changes to ensure change management compliance 100% in line with train build plan.
• Led the tender submission from SQ Function for- Indian Railways Vande Bharat Sleeper and Locomotive Tenders (Combined worth INR 60,000 Cr) with 40% reduction in efforts vis-a-vis benchmark projects.
• Executed a project to reduce Supplier deviation requests by 30 % YoY, through systematic root cause analysis and actions.
• Maintained the database of YoY FAl's performed for global sites from India to facilitate the recharge to SQ function through Alstom Finance. Ensured 100% invoicing compliance against the FAl's done (400+) per FY by mapping against each FAI recorded in Alstom Quality portal.

SPQD Engineer, Bogie

• First Article Inspection (FAI) for Railway Bogie Forged, Casted & Machined Parts: Achieved 95% (vs Target 90%) & Zero Defects in first 5 pilot lots for IR E-Loco, Rochester USA Switch Machines parts.

• Vertical Head - IIMA Placement Committee for PGPX
• Gold Award 2022 - Received from Alstom APAC Quality (Awarded to 5/350) - For leading Continuous Improvement Initiatives.
• Bronze Award 2021 - Received from Alstom India Quality (Awarded to 30/350) – For contribution to E-Loco Program Co-ordination & supplier risk management.
• Winner, Regional Round, Bangalore out of 500+ participants & Finalist, National Finale out of 6000+ participants in the ‘Cerebration Quiz 2022’, a pan India Corporate Business Quiz organized by The Hindu BusinessLine.
