  • Effectively led the mechanical integrity analyses at Siemens R&D, Gurgaon location for Siemens Roadmap to make its Gas Turbines capable of running on 100% H2 fuel by 2030
  • Sole developer in flagship Project to update SGT6-2000E Siemens Energy Combustion Systems for significant hydrogen fuel usage
  • Performed novel analyses under rigorous budgetary and timeline limitations for the development of first system with hydrogen fuel capability
  • Pioneered integrity simulations in the novel domain of hydrogen impacted materials testing at MI Team, Combustion Design Department, at Gurgaon location 
  • Evaluated various materials for lowest cost impact for four different subcomponents of the SGT6-2000E assembly
  • Acted as the sole analyst to lead the mechanical analyses to formulate the most efficient design solely with respect to cost savings
  • The design and analyses are projected to result in prevention of a cost rise of approximately 250% of the burner part based on conservative calculation
  • The estimated total Cost Mitigation towards SE Business in FY25 is projected to be approximately 20 million euros based on a conservative calculation
  • Played a key role in the team which drafted the entire Focused Technical Review for the Product Definition Release
  • Collaborated with multiple stakeholders from wide ranging domains and departments external to the working location

Project 2 : August 2021 – August 2022

  • Updated design of joints can be utilized for upgrade of newer units: Contribution to efficiency and performance increase for SGTX2000E series of gas turbines
  • Process Improvement : In collaboration with the technical expert, defined and developed a new methodology for XXXX connect strength assessments, with a step-by-step and structured plan to deal with the specific component ; The drafted methodology henceforward shall apply to all components of the same XXXX series and creates a future pathway for similar evaluations
  • Created entire CAD models from scratch: Step beyond the standard role of a FEA analyst
    Conducted multiple brainstorming sessions and discussions on problem solving , with the immediate Technical Experts involved in the project,  to arrive at a final analytical approach together
  • Drafted and submitted the entire R5 Review Report for this project


Project 3: Dec 2021 – Jan 2022

  • Visualized and created from scratch the XXX structure as part of a new design for metallic heat shields
  • Quality Deliverable - Held specific discussions in the beginning, compiled specific task requirements and worked in a targeted manner towards quick delivery in a short span of time
  • Conducted deep study and understanding of  H2 impacted material properties with Materials Experts
  • Analyses performed were one of the necessary enablers to design XXX combustion system with a cost reduction by approximately half a million euros
  • In 2022, the analyst have supported a design to cost project targeting a product cost reduction of approximately 0.5M€ per gas turbine (new apparatus business) and 2.1M€ per long term service contract (service business). My personal contribution was the mechanical integrity assessment of metallic heat shields of the combustion chamber for reaching low emissions while achieving the required part lifetimes
  • According to the original forecast it was planned to sell 2 engines of this type per year
  • Since none of the engines could be sold in 2022 the project has been stopped in summer 2022. But in 2023 the high amount of 21 pieces of this engine type have been sold

Project 4 : February 2021 – December 2021

  • Worked as the sole analyst for a project to test sustainability of a XXXX connection component and verify 100% operation during an earthquake, thus ensuring prevention of human hazard
  • Worked with extensive amount of data extracted from structural analysis softwares and performed basic analytical computations
  • Data interpretation and chalking out integrated outcomes
  • Preparation and completion of Technical Report
