- Manager, Engineering and Projects
- Spearheaded the construction of BPCL's largest greenfield project (Project Cost – ₹676 Cr) in the Northern Region, a state-of-the-art Oil Terminal at Jammu. It is a common facility for the three Oil PSU’s having a storage capacity of 1.1 lakh KL enhancing existing capacity by 50%.
- Developed comprehensive tenders in accordance with General Conditions of Contract for over 10 contracts with a cumulative value of approx. ₹300 Cr+ for the project. Tenders finalized within the estimated time by timely resolving technical queries, approving technical documents, designs, and drawings.
- Developed and managed comprehensive project documentation, including agreements and purchase orders, ensuring clarity and enforceability across all contracts.
- Achieved NIL adverse points across various audits pertaining to Finance, Vigilance, Quality and Safety.
- Successfully completed the land development work for the terminal which was situated in hilly terrain consisting of ridges and valleys with elevation difference of approximately 60 mtr between the highest and the lowest point. The job included cutting/filling to the tune of 20 lakh cubic meters, which is the highest ever for any facility set up by BPCL. Work was completed with immaculate planning and stringent quality controls.
- Successfully led the job of railway siding through efficient stakeholder coordination and cross-functional collaboration. Job included construction of 5 km railway track, 3 nos. major bridges (span of 9.15 mtr and 18.3 mtr), 6 nos. minor bridges (arch bridge), 2 nos limited height subway. All the jobs carried out adjacent to operational Jammu-Katra railway track in Railway land.
- Adopted innovative ideas and conducted terrain segmentation to develop a cost-benefit model using construction cost and terrain gradient, to select optimal boundary wall type resulting in a saving of approx. ₹8 Cr. Ten different types of boundary wall constructed for the terminal.
- Successfully implemented a first of its kind sustainable method of slope protection at the site using composite soil erosion mattress resulting in a saving of approx. ₹1.58 Cr as compared to traditional methods. The method contributed in developing green area around the terminal covering approx. 20% area.
- Secured regulatory approvals and obtained clearances for the establishment of greenfield project site from PESO, DM, SPCB, Factories, Railways, PWD, Central Labor commissioner, within record time and without the assistance of any external consultant.
- Utilized surplus material lying at different sites in Northern region to the tune of ₹2.1 Cr using inventory analysis.
- Handled procurements of material and services in Government e-Market Place (GeM), for value of over ₹2 Cr achieving an average saving of 15%.
- Achieved ₹250 Cr annual capex 2024-25 using Excel-based dashboards and KPI tracking to ensure financial and timeline compliance.
- Spearheaded the innovative LSTK (Lump Sum Turn Key) tendering model for tankage work at army base in Mudh, Ladakh, implemented for the first time in Northern Region, resulting in approximate saving of 10% from conventional BOQ based tendering.
- To promote sustainability, more than 2000 saplings planted at project site and in house nursery developed at site.
Additional voluntary assignments undertaken during the tenure-
- Assisted the project team at BPCL Kanpur tankage augmentation project site for a brief period of 1 month for preparation of OISD audit and commissioning.
- Kickstarted the project for laying 4.4 Km new HSD pipeline from VPT Jetty to BPCL Vizag Oil Installation including liasoning with various departments and govt agencies for NOC’s since the pipeline had to be laid through public areas.
- Assisted Mughalsarai project team for a period of 1.5 months in planning and kickstarting the project for laying of new product lines (approx. 1.5 Km) from railway siding to terminal.
- Successfully led the statutory audits for commissioning of Leh oil depot having storage capacity of 920 KL and powered completely on solar power (100KWp).
- Asst Manager, Engineering and Projects | Baitalpur, Deoria
- Spearheaded the completion of green field project -LPG Bottling Plant at Baitalpur, Deoria UP (Project Cost ₹55 Crores), resulting in a filling capacity of 1,570 cylinders per hour and 42 lakh cylinders per year.
- The LPG Plant helped the corporation to feed the markets of UP East and western Bihar for quicker implementation of Ujjwala Yojna, reducing the operation time of nearby plants in Allahabad and Lucknow by 33%.
- Led a team of 10 major contractors (Job value > 0.7 Cr each) throughout the project.
- Motivated and developed more than 5 local supervisors working under a vendor to take up entrepreneurship and start their own firms, ultimately leading to a work execution of approx. ₹3 Cr by these newly developed vendors.
- Secured regulatory approvals and clearances for commissioning of plant from central ministries and state agencies within stipulated timeline.
- Project completed with NIL LTA adhering to BPCL’s policy of “Safety First Safety Must”.
- Spearheaded the transition into GST regime, for all the contracts, facilitating the revisions and tax compliances, leading to complete transformation of contracts within a period of 15 days.
- Successfully led the state-of-the-art terminal automation system project at existing BPCL Oil depot at Baitalpur. (Project cost- ₹15 Crores) with real-time inventory, operational analytics; streamlined loading/unloading including access control with enhanced safety controls.
- Spearheaded the pumping augmentation work at the depot (Project cost- ₹5 Crores), which included replacement of 25 nos. pumps without disrupting the existing operations. Project completed with immaculate planning of resources and shutdown in record time of 3 months.
- Steered more than 20 shutdowns for mechanical and electrical jobs in high-risk operating conditions, completing all within the stipulated time frame, while maintaining routine operations and achieving zero accidents.
- Successfully led the construction of 800 mts boundary wall in siding area of depot mitigating the impact of COVID-19 which hit the project during its peak execution.
- Adopted innovative techniques to mitigate the impact of high water table during monsoons by casting precast footings and columns saving 1 month time.
- Commissioned a new fire water storage facility (1400 KL capacity) at Gonda Depot.

- Project marked the commencement of ATF operations for BPCL at the airport and helped corporation in capturing 30% of the business at Lucknow Airport.
- Spearheaded the project for construction of 600 MT Mounded storage vessel at BPCL Lucknow LPG plant at a project cost of ₹15 Crores. This was the first MSV to be constructed at this plant and increased the storage capacity of plant by 100%.
