  • Led a multidisciplinary team of financial and petroleum experts to identify and acquire Russian Upstream Assets with potential to reduce long term crude oil dependence
  • Represented IOCL in the Technical Committee of Vankor Project, Russia, an oil & gas producing field and ensured timely approval and implementation of Annual Work Program & Budget

Manager, Exploration & Production | Indian Oil Corporation Limited | New Delhi

  • Lead a team of geoscientists to manage two oil producing assets located in Russia, which involves formulation of 2-3 years development plan with Operator (Rosneft) and non-operating partners (ONGC, OIL, BPCL & British Petroleum) and its execution related to production targets, surface facilities, drilling operations, oil price etc.
  • Negotiated the first ever pay-as-produce go deal to overcome valuation differences between Indian and Russian entities of around $2.5B and ensured timely submission of bid to acquire upstream assets crucial for Indian PSUs.
  • As a technical committee member, led the team for upgrading water handling facility in an Upstream Asset in Russia in coordination with local subcontractor. The process increased overall production by 2 MMTPA.
  • Audited Russian project at field locations in Siberia, as part of audit team and made structural changes to improve pipeline losses and acceptance of e-invoice for financial transparency.

  • Improved cross-functional collaboration by developing an online platform for data sharing and visualization of the project enabling the smooth and timely flow of information between different departments which ensured faster decision-making, planning, and performance forecasting of upstream oil & gas assets (with > 1100 active wells). 
  • Coordinated the set up for the first three Special Purpose Vehicles (SPV) based in Singapore for fund management of around $750M to related Indian entities.
